Dinero and such...

Ok girlfriends.... 1 more week! Yippeee!

Just a reminder that we have reservations at 9:30 ( wooohoooo!) at Nacional 27 on Friday. Set menu and price. Probably best to bring cash for that evening so the bill can be handled easily.

Is everyone bringing a set amount of $$ or are you just using plastic? I was planning on budgeting my dinero and bringing a set amount of cash. We will have to pay each other for hotel, so cash may be good. Not sure how much to bring?

The MI train group will not arrive into Chicago until 4-5 pm. Those that arrive earlier, have fun! We can reunite in the hotel for a drink at 7:30 pm? what do you think? or earlier, or whatever.....

Saturday, no formal plans. Depending on weather... maybe the beach, maybe just walking along lakeshore, maybe shopping. I will probably bring a suit and towel for beach. No formal dinner plans for sat. What do you think about reservations? Should we just do what we feel like at the moment?

Dinner? Help me decide

Ok since you are the smarty pants girls that signed up to follow the blog, you get to help me make a decision.

Option 1: I made reservations for 8:30 pm at Carnivale. Fun, yummy, Latin restaurant. If we want to go out afterwards, we have to find a cab and go somewhere else. Menu items are rated $$$.

Option 2: Reservations at 9:30 pm at Nacional 27 ( I know, very late for us moms), turns into a club at 11 pm and we would be able to keep table and hang out. If we have 12 or more people, we have a set dinner price $36/person. Includes salad, entrees, dessert I think. I have to sign contract. Plus for this place is that we are in 1 location and don't have to move around that night.

let me know and i will confirm one of these places.

My current vote is for Nacional 27, but I will go w/ majority. :)

Chicago Here We Come!!

Ok my sweet friends, we are only a few weeks away from our long awaited Chicago Girls Get Away! We have a few items we need to organize before we go. With a group this size, it is going to be hard to coordinate everyone's plans and specific interests. However if we make a couple plans and options, there should be something for everyone.

Here are few things that have been discussed and we should make some decisions.

1. Dinner Plans and Reservations for Friday and Saturday night

2. Saturday daytime activities and options

3. Everyone should post their travel plans and arrival times so that we can hook up with each other.

Let's use this forum to comment and post info. I think it will be easier than following email trails.

After we get some ideas going, I will repost new info.

Chicago girls... fo you have some dinner recommendations for Friday? My thought was maybe a 7 or 8 pm reservation time so that the Detroit girls will have time to settle in and change, etc.

I am going to check for festivals, etc going on that weekend.
